Marco Netzbrandt & Alexander Wienand - Double Rescue (2015)

The piano Netzbandt Marco and Alexander Wienand presents meticulously crafted arrangements of selected jazz standards and their own pieces. The pianist expand classics like Caravan, Hymn to Freedom or Take Five respectful, they build from symphonic and discover new layer by layer. This results in architectures that often go beyond the original formal systems of the pieces far beyond.

Marco Netzbandt Award for his work as a pianist, composer, arranger and university lecturer with the Culture Prize of the City of Würzburg, where he still lives.

Alexander Wienand was awarded the Bavarian Art Prize and lives in Berlin.
