VA - Vintage Music Selection, Vol. 3 (2015)

Given that he lives in Siberia, it's surprising just how sunny and sumptuous the music on Sunner Soul's Vintage Music imprint is. From the pitched-down, loved-up grooves of opener "Sunshine", to the oceans-deep boogie of closer "Aquatic Space", this third label compilation is packed to bursting point with atmospheric, sun-kissed fare. It's a mix of straight-up re-edits and sample-heavy original productions, with Sunner Soul's own material being joined by a few choice cuts by Vita La Jess (whose thickset soul head-nodder "Never Ever" is a highlight) and the fizzing filter disco of Banana Lover's "Queens".
