Atlanta duo Noot D’Noot have swallowed the genre rulebook and coughed up an album of dizzying postmodern fun. The 14 tracks on GOOFER DUST mix ambient electronica, Afrobeat, lounge, funk, hip-hop, trip-hop, psychedelic experimentation, and just about everything else under the sun for a multi-dimensional sonic joyride. With a coterie of guests from Atlanta’s underground music scene joining in, Noot D’Noot prove that a sampler can produce music as organic and complex as any live band, and that the listener, washed over with brain-stretching soundscapes, won’t much notice the difference.
