The Effort Award's melodic 90s-revival-indie-rock-funk-punk debut takes music 20,000 leagues beneath the sharcano, crushing it into a hot new molten magma...

9.5/10 geniuses agree that this music is so staggeringly effort-award worthy that you will swear you heard it in like maybe a spaceship commercial. No, maybe a lamborghini commercial. They don't need to advertise you say? Exactly. Neither does this music. You are literally the first person to hear this. But not the first computer... Because this music is likely the key to making the computer singularity self-aware; and It is also probably going to make that super-computer-mind love humanity enough that it wants to make us some sweet cat video compilations. That, my friend, is called a win-win situation.

Kendall writes, "Uh these are amazing. Stop being such a weirdo. numbers game is my fav."

Jonathan says, "You have successfully morphed Flaming Lips and Foo Fighters"

Jake writes: "Frampton Weezer Black keys animal collective... totally unique... amazing... don't text and drive... " "don't worry I'm using siri" "siri sucks, no offense great and mystical technological super-being"

Jake continues, "Dude, I have listened to your CD at least 4 times. I love it. Just caught myself singing sharcano in my head if there is but misspellings I'm sorry I'm using siri again"

Effort Award began with two Hogwarts alums Dustin and John having a beer, playing guitar, bongos, tiny pianos, and occasionally shouting through a megaphone people walking by the legendary "kayak shack" in Charlottesville; The Kayak shack was at the time known to this person as the epicenter of "post-core 90's effort rock" genre. During Dustin's trip to Africa, John became so hungry for the sweet sweet stoke of making tunes, that he put some of his demos down onto a primitive pro-tools rig. His friend Seth encouraged him to send them to legendary engineer/producer/brilliant musician Danny Kalb; The debut album "Relaxtronaut" was born.
