Memotone - Chime Hours (2016)

Memotone is really coming through with some golden material as of late, and all his gear on Black Acre is essential to say the least. Never truly sticking to one sound or genre, the artist explores all the possibilities of electronic sound, incorporating elements of noise, ambient, techno and much more. This LP, Chime Hours, is potentially his most daring work to date, and although it sounds like an exaggeration, we dig all of these ten tunes. There's rugged outsider house in the form of "Your Eyes My Teeth", loose broken beats via "All Collapsed", and some form of pseudo glitch techno through "She's A Killer". But seriously, have a listen to all of this beauty.
