Other Realm music is proud to present Norfolk, VA based Electro-Acoustic composer Deosil, with his newest album, "A Drop Of Eternity". Taking nearly a year and a half to create, this album marks the 12th release on his Other Realm Music label and has become the most personal, deepest, and most musically explorative album to date. His widely acclaimed release, 2008's "Centering", told a musical story through a narrative of conscious yoga, track by track. He combined nature sounds, ambient noises, throat singing, and an array of world instruments along with his signature electronic ambient style. "A Drop Of Eternity" is a continuation of "Centering", allowing an even deeper approach to the sonic world he creates. Think of it as the second part to what "Centering" had to offer. Nine years after it's release, and a few albums since then, music technology advanced allowing an even more complex array of sounds, swirling and moving in and out of the sonic spectrum. During this time Deosil has taken time to learn more about meditation, breathing, and mindfulness. These aspects of better mind and body help make "A Drop Of Eternity" a very special, chakra opening experience.
Deosil decided to strip away the Buddhist philosophies, which were inherent on his last album from 2013, "Wide Awake". Now, there is a sense of peace and calming and the idea of of what the listener experiences is up to them. Only the track names give a glimpse as to what the setting for each piece is supposed to be. Be open minded and use each track as an instrument for putting your mind at ease. There is a sense of auditory innocence and heartfelt reverence in each piece, by taking a simple theme and layering it with rich synth sounds, heartbeat rhythms, piano leads, and long sustained drone type of chords.
