Deux Boules Vanille - Planete Gougou (2018)

Welcome to a distant planet, where breathtaking rhythmic canvases stretch out, conducive to trances and mental delusions. At the origin of this moving matter, there are two drummers, both musicians and sound explorers: Wolf Gangloff and Frederic Mancini. They form a unique duo, navigating with ease between electronic and organic. Already spotted, with a first album, Tutti Frutti, but especially during intense and unrestrained concerts where they can make any audience totally addicted to their performances as physical as jubilant. The obvious challenge of this new record was to install coherence along the length, without betraying a strong and miserly artistic intention of concessions. This delicate mission displays a more than convincing result. And even if this work is far from easy to access, here's a new door open on all these exciting music on the margins, somewhere between Zombie Zombie, Electric Electric and K-X-P.
