Phish - 1993-08-26 Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, Portland, OR (2018) [Hi-Res]

This show took place at “The Schnitz”, a historic Italian Renaissance style movie/vaudeville house opened in 1928 and re-named in 1930 The Paramount Theatre (and later Schnitzer Hall or “The Schnitz”) with a capacity of 2,808. Baby Gramps was the opening act. During the pause between The Asse Festival and Guelah (The Fly), the band teased a Neil Young sit-in, an inside joke dating back to their last Oregon shows that spring. Reba included a tease of Dixie. Trey sang the verses of Fee through his megaphone and Fee’s usual outro was extended. It’s Ice included a piano solo, The Simpsons secret language and another unusual outro. Harry Hood started with repeating waves of It’s Ice and reggae-style “Yeeeaaahhh” testimony from Fish. Hold Your Head Up sandwiched the second and last performance of Nothin’ But A Nothin’ – a duet with Baby Gramps on guitar and vocals and Fish on vacuum. The final Free Bird encore of 1993 was performed with microphones.
