TAKURO, the leader, guitarist, and main composer of GLAY, has finally started his first solo project! TAKURO's first solo instrumental album ``Journey without a map'' is an ambitious work in which he welcomed B'z's Takahiro Matsumoto as the producer and recorded with top musicians living in Los Angeles. Regarding the recording method, TAKURO's three vintage Les Pauls were used to create a deep guitar sound, and the sound was based on jazz and blues, and each note was carefully created. A gem filled with the charm of guitarist TAKURO, which sets him apart from GLAY, has been completed here. This work is exactly as the title ``Journey without a map'' suggests, and it is a piece where you can enjoy TAKURO's ``journey of sound without a map.'' Also, from February 2017, it has been decided that a tour will take place with 15 performances in 9 locations across the country, starting with Tokyo Stellar Ball and ending with the final Zepp Tokyo.
TAKURO: I wanted to create a piece that would evoke various scenes and emotions within the melody played on the guitar, as if the guitar was reading poetry. I proceeded with the recording keeping in mind that I wanted to carefully add expression to the simple lines with the guitar. It sounds very different from GLAY, but this is also music that came to me honestly, so I want to continue making guitar albums. Journey without a map is an album I created while imagining myself as a man who loves playing the guitar and playing it every weekend in a small bar. I would be happy if you could listen to it while drinking alcohol when you want to take a break.
