Nova Nova - Néoclassic (2018) [Hi-Res]

First coming through in the early-to-mid 90s, French duo Nova Nova, comprised of Marc Durif and Michel Gravil, helped to pave the way for the development of French electronic music - both dance and, more broadly, electronic. Their self-titled imprint is a relatively new creation, with the mighty F Communications having housed so many of their classics, and Neoclassic is their first LP since 1999's Le Chanson De Roland. Much to our approval, they've decided to stick with the broken beat formula, bringing in a new flurry of outsider influences into the framework. Much of the album, in all honesty, could well be classed as house music, but there's something deeper and more far-reaching about these 10 tracks. Sounding a bit like a radio set from Worldwide FM, there is a glorious diversity of sounds and styles, from jazz to everything new age and beyond!
