The Treble - Modernaires (2017)

The Treble's debut album, Modernaires, has been three years in the making — and it's worth the wait.

In 2013, the Winnipeg band put out an EP called Northern Lights. Since then, the bandmates' musical journey has evolved and matured. "To this day, we're still amazed at the places it brought us and the people we've met as a result," writes the band in a Facebook post. "But, as the case with most artists, we started writing new material just about as soon as that was finished. Slowly, over the past three years, we have crafted something new to share with you — our first full-length album."

The first single released off of the album, "Wherever You Go," has a catchy hook and a dynamic range of production work by Rob Wells (Ariana Grande, Tyler Shaw, Justin Bieber). As an indication for the rest of the album, it doesn't disappoint.

The group says the process of creating Modernaires was difficult at first. "Some songs sat unfinished for months," the band continued, in the same Facebook post. "We weren't sure what kind of band we were. We didn't know who we wanted to be. But, three years later, we are ready to show you who we've become, and we're proud of it. Really proud."
