In Poland, for over two decades, there has been a growing desire to reinterpret the peasant folklore inheritance. It is hard to classify the folklore works of Zygmunt Krauze of the 1970s to the intentional, ideological sign of these value revisions. Krauze combines an unconventional approach with “immersion” (to use the word of the composer) in the sound environment, which results in an original and fresh work.
