Alan Roubik - Rags to Riches (2018)

Original ragtime compositions by Alan Roubik. Ragtime was a precursor to jazz, popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Composer Scott Joplin was a big influence in Alan's life, which led to his desire to release "Rags to Riches."

As a child, Alan was drawn to the upbeat, moving and syncopated style of music. He was driven to learn to play the challenging Joplin compositions "The Entertainer" and "Maple Leaf Rag."

Alan recorded every track of "Rags to Riches" from start to finish, with no editing, to preserve the true feeling and moving spirit of this style of music.
