Katherine Lacy is Principal Clarinet with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra after holding the post of Principal Bass Clarinet with the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Before that she spent eight years as Principal Bass Clarinet with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Katherine also works regularly with other orchestras and recent freelance work includes playing bass clarinet with the John Wilson Orchestra, LSO and Aurora, as well as playing principal basset horn with the Academy of St Martins in the Field and guest principal clarinet with the RLPO, CBSO and at Covent Garden.
