Dick Brave & The Backbeats Album: “Rock ‘n’ Roll Therapy” Lock up the ladies, here he comes again: Dick Brave! The singer with the big pompadour and the even bigger heart for rock ‘n’ roll is back: Dick Brave. Seventeen new songs by him and his peerless Backbeats unfold their irresistible magic on the second album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Therapy”. The first album “Dick This!” went straight to No.1, selling half a million copies, and lent Dick Brave a life of his own. Without officially acknowledging the artist’s actual identity for a long time, Dick Brave was furnished with a Canadian home, authentic rockabilly looks, a damn good accent and an affectionately detailed biography. It was a media thrill, the fans absolutely loved it and the first extensive tour in 2004 was completely sold-out. Eclipsed only by Dick Brave and his gang performing at pop star P!nk’s wedding. On the climax of his success, the popular singer vanished - just to come back after seven years of absence in 2011, with a big bang an his second album “Rock ‘n’ Roll Therapy”. Dick Brave is back where he belongs. “Rock ‘n’ Roll Therapy” is simply a blast to listen to - delivering authentic, heartfelt and not least very danceable cover versions. Tracks like Green Day’s “American Idiot”, Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody”, “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, “Just Can't Get Enough” by Depeche Mode and even Elvis Presley’s legendary “Always On My Mind” emanate a modern and vibrant lust for life. The self-composed “Tonight”, “This Girl Is Trouble” and “Look At You” emphasize stylistic acumen and creative potential. A club tour in early summer 2011 brought Dick Brave & The Backbeats back on stage, gearing up for the already sold-out tour through Germany in November 2011 . “Rock ‘n’ Roll Therapy” was befittingly released on The King’s label RCA and was certified with another Gold award in November 2012. 2012 was packed with excessive touring throughout Europe incl. festival appearances at Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Deichbrand, Akzena Rock Festival (Spain), Rock Gampel (CH), Gurtenfestival (CH), just to name a few. 2013 Dick and his boys take a break from the live circuit – setting up their new album – due to be released early 2014.
