Aleceo - Tele Trip (2018)

While he's a relatively recent addition to the scope of our radars, newcomer Aleceo sounds like a mature and established artist who crafts his trade rather well. His debut 12" for Plus Seven Records was a hot little tip when it dropped back in 2016, so this new LP for Holland's Music For Dreams caught us by surprise! Describing Tele Music in terms of genres wouldn't really do it any justice, particularly for the fact that each one of these 13 tracks is a different representation of electronic music, but also because they create a fully-formed narrative from beginning to end. Thanks to subtle layers of mid-tempo beats, Aleceo paints a wondrous and enchanting picture, where peaceful Balearic rhythms meet all sorts of off-kilter tribalism that catapult us from the city into the jungle...or the beach - whichever suits you best!
