This album came out in the mid-90s, a time when female angst seemed to be at its peak. Amy Arena is certainly an opinionated individual who's trying to rebel against the status quo (at the time). Any pissed off female in the early- to mid-90s with average to sub-average talent could come out with an album more ambitious and memorable than this album. Actually, this album is pretty memorable.
