The Herbert Pixner project is the main band of 1975 born South Tyrolean Herbert Pixner, who became known as a musician with the diatonic harmonica and collaborated with, among others, the Austrian rocker Kurt Ostbahn (Willi Resetarits) and the Italian composer Eduard Demetz. Together with his sister Heidi Pixner, bassist Werner Unterlercher and guitarist and clarinettist Manuel Randi, he combines folk music sounds with rock, jazz, blues tango, flamenco and other varieties with the Herbert Pixner project. The first CD Blus'n up! was released in 2004, 2010 was followed by bauer_tschäss - Power 'n Jazz. Then the intervals between the albums became smaller: Already in 2012 NA UND?! Appeared, in 2014 three plates of the Herbert Pixner project came out. After a short break, two albums were released in 2016: folk music! and SUMMER.
