This debut album came at a time when CD format was an expensive means of getting ones' music 'out there' and courting record labels was a means to major distribution. (Pre-internet) Therefore as an independent singer-songwriter it demanded a high quality analog production. Musicians(Willie Schwartz, Russell Clark, Eddie Carlson, Jason Batchko, Matthew Snyder, Brad O'Mori, etc), all seasoned performers ranging from accordion to cello to mandolin to percussion complimented Tirzah's acoustic piano while her vocals take the lead in every way. With the assistance of many fans and friends from across the country but central to Chicago it was a exciting tribute to those that followed her career. Classical trained and educated she delved into a different genre that at the time was just beginning to emerge (Sarah McLaughlan, Sheryl Crow, etc) In the end, this CD debut fed into future recordings, a new band, tours, numerous compilations and many lasting friendships. Having taken a sabbatical for several years, new material is on the horizon.
