Carley M. Perloff - Lost (2018)

"Lost" is compiled of a mix of emotions from my first year at college. Music is like my therapy, so every song on this album stems from an experience or feeling. As I continue to grow and mature, so does my music. I hope my listeners find comfort in listening to my music. Writing this album made me realize that although you may feel alone in times of change, a lot more people are in the same boat as you without even realizing it.

Each song is was developed from a simple pop riff. When I took each raw version into the studio, they were produced based on the feeling behind the song. Although every song on this album undoubtedly fits in the "pop" genre, every song contains a slight crossover to a different genre. "Money" was recorded at Track Happy Studios in Nashville, Tennessee and turned out a bit country. "Clone" and "Serious" were recorded at Higgin's Audio recording studio in my home town of Dallas, Pennsylvania. "Clone" turned out to have a rock ballad vibe while "Serious" ended up being more edgy.

It took me about a year to finalize this compilation, and I would not of had it any other way. This year, I learned it sometimes takes a great deal of PATIENCE to get to where I want to be. I plan to embrace every journey and adventure along the way and share my story as I go.
