Hot off the heals of his debut album Samosa Solar System, this 6 track EP sees Merlyn exploring a more rhythmic and dancefloor-focussed sound, taking the tempo up a notch whilst leaving room for his signature soundscapes of field recordings and sci-fi noises. Tracks like Endymion and Shimmertry venture into realms of swinging, midtempo psy-trance, while Samba in Zanskar cranks up the intensity with a techno-inspired adventure into analog bass and Brazillian rhythms. Closing track About Time brings us gently back to earth with its downtempo tapestry of mournful chords and dubbed-out beats.
