The Airmen of Note is the premier jazz ensemble for the US Air Force. It was created in 1950 to carry on the style of Glenn Miller's Army Corps dance band. Over the years, the 'Note has remained on an innovative musical course to continually challenge the frontiers of contemporary big band jazz. This album was recorded in 1986 under the director Dave Steinmeyer.
