The Droids beamed down to planet Earth in the year 1978. The brainchild of Yves Hayet, they made the French space Synth classic '(Do You Have) the Force', which was heavily influenced by the recent release of the Star Wars film and he appeared on TV in robot guise to promote it. Maybe Daft Punk were watching? the song has appeared on the acclaimed So Young But So Cold: Underground French Music compilation and this is the first release of the parent album, Star Peace, outside of France. It features the single and other space-themed Electronica which were very much in the then-current style of instrumental Sci-Fi Synth that was sweeping France, such as Jean Michel Jarre's Oxygene and Space's Magic Fly.
