With conceptualization and writing started late 2011, and the recording & mix then mastering completed the first half of 2012, this all-acoustic project is my first time recording for U.S. based label Adventure Music. Featuring some of NY's cream of musicians in the jazz scene (Adam Rogers-guitar, Boris Kozlov-bass, Nate Smith-drums, and Alex Sipiagin-trumpet/flugelhorn/bass trumpet & horn arrangement), there are also special guest appearances by Gil Goldstein on accordion as well as Brazilian artist Ed Motta adding his luscious vocals in our duet on a cover of Milton Nascimento's "Bridges." Other covers include label-mate Hamilton de Holanda's instrumental track "Brasilianos" which I added my lyrics to, as well as self-covers of "Map of the Soul" (co-written with and recorded for Nagoya artist-producer Brisa) and "Native Tongue" (from my 2004 duet album "Naked Breath").
