Cristóvam was born amongst the deep blue of the Atlantic and the lush green of the beautiful Azores. He is the grandson of a true radio pioneer and the son of two dreamers who raised him with the great music his grandpa left and a strong encouragement to always shoot for the stars.
Daydreaming with his eyes lost in the horizon, curious about what lay ahead of that intriguing line, Cristóvam knew he was born to cross it and that it would only be a matter of time.
At a tender age he started playing guitar and writing his own songs. A while later he began recording himself, and because he didn’t know any other musicians, he ended up having to learn how to play a bit of every instrument he wanted to hear in his songs.
Like most of his idols from the old songwriting world, his songs are painfully sincere, and he doesn’t know how to make them any other way. His music carries both the urges of youth and the bitter wisdom of an old age that is yet to come.
For the good or the bad, he is what you hear. Raw as the mountains and deep as the sea.
