Getting its name from his Worldwide FM radio show, Brian d'Souza's third full-length record as Auntie Flo once again takes a globally minded approach inspired by his international travels. Brownswood says the Glasgow-born, London-based producer makes use of "field recordings and studio sessions from everywhere from Cuba to Cape Town, Bali to Kampala and voices from Russia, Istanbul, Senegal and the UK."
A number of guest musicians feature on Radio Highlife, including Sengalese multi-instrumentalist Mame nDiack Seck Thiam, who appeared on d'Souza's 2017 mini-album The Soniferous Garden for Sofrito Super Singles. He's also now set to be part of a new Auntie Flo live show.
Due out in October, Radio Highlife is d'Souza's first release on Brownswood. His prior two albums, 2012's Future Rhythm Machine and Theory Of Flo, were issued through Huntleys + Palmers.
