Erland Cooper & William Doyle - Murmuration (2018)

Murmuration is a companion album to Erland Cooper's debut record Solan Goose.

It is a continuous, fully ambient work, split over 3 movements (or ‘migrations') and has been created in collaboration with artist, musician and writer William Doyle (Formerly known as East India Youth). The album artwork has been kindly donated by Mr Norman Ackroyd (CBE).

While you can listen to these migrations separately, they are best taken together as a complete work in succession, as this video does. You can also select the Loop button in your player and it will run in continuous mode for as long as you like.

These abstract visuals where shot in Orkney. They feature sunlight on sea, midgies at the Ring of Brodgar and sea-foam off Yesnaby cliffs.
