Talisk - Beyond (2018)

Winners of the 2017 MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards' Folk Band Of The Year, 2015 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards' Young Folk Award and nominees of the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards' Horizon Award, Glasgow based band Talisk are, undeniably, one of the fastest rising bands on the UK folk scene of recent years.

Recorded by Andrea Gobbi, mastered by Grammy Award winner Brian Lucey and co-produced by Mohsen Amini, the 2018 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards' Musician Of The Year, 'Beyond', the band's second studio album, is a worthy successor of 'Abyss'. The band have managed to find their own unique voice, combining stunning melodies with sheer energy, to capture the distinctive live sound of Talisk.

With the critically acclaimed Greg Lawson recording strings and a hand selected choir of musicians from the scenes most prominent bands including We Banjo 3, Elephant Sessions, The East Pointers, Manran, Siobhan Miller, Skerryvore and Tide Lines, 'Beyond' is an album not to be missed.
