Dominique Lemerle Quartet - This Is New (2018) Hi Res

On the occasion of the release of his CD "This is New" bassist Dominique Lemerle presents his quartet. It is composed of guitarist Michel Perez, pianist Manuel Rocheman and drummer Tony Rabeson. Separately traveling companions for many years, this is the first time they are all together. They revisit old standards (Kurt Weil, Richard Rogers, ...) or more recent (Jim Hall, Bill Evans, ...) in a spirit of openness and dialogue, revealing their great complicity. Although during the last forty years he played with some of the greatest musicians (Roy Haynes, Chet Baker, Johnny Griffin, Jimmy Gourley ...) and recorded many albums in sideman, this is the first time that the contrabassist presents an album under his name ...
