Luís Eduardo Aute, interpreter of a style of music known as Canto Nuevo or Nueva Trova, has been an artist in several aspects. His first passion was painting, making his first exhibition in 1960, and in the mid-60s, the painter and poet was convinced to record his own music. The following year they released Hallelujah and Roses In The Sea. Prominent books such as The Mathematics of the Mirror, The Liturgy of Disorder and Animal were published in recognition of his ability as a writer. After launching Alevosía in 1995, Aute began a tour throughout Latin America and Spain with a painting exhibition called Ad Libidum; later he participated in a collective album called Un Secreto A Voces, based on lyrics by Alejandro Filio. ~ Drago Bonacich
