his release has long been awaited after almost 30 years of the original LP release. The results are of predictable excelency,as most of Perahia"s recordings: Taste,great technique and an ever improving maturity.He makes the most difficult passages flow with ease.In spite of a rather muffled or distant sound at times,the piano sounds good but without the beauty of other of his later digital recordings ( i.e.The Grammy winner release of the first 3 sonatas ).It is a pity that he never got into completing the cycle of 32 sonatas.
