Gen’s Gem (A Lullaby) – The name implies the inspiration from my wife Genevieve Rose, who’s suggestions were helpful with some of aspects of this tune.
Genette’s Song is a bright, light, and uplifting tune inspired by the way my daughter Genette makes me feel.
A Day’s Journey began as an improvisational progression between two chords for students interested in improvisation. The three sections of the song represent morning, afternoon, and evening.
As Always is a ballad that is dedicated to my Mother, who as always…is there…Always.
One for Aadan is dedicated to a young life that ended too soon. The opening bass line was inspired by one of Jeff Coffin’s tunes entitled “Turiya.”
Dreams – the melody was inspired by a Tom Harrell composition entitled “Let the Children Play.”
Meandering – a composition based on an interpretation of Carole King’s music. Premiered during an outdoor performance beneath grapevines, the title was suggested by my cousin Helen.
Bill’s Tune – A song that was born from creating an accompaniment for students to practice their improvisations.
