Sound of Beauty stems from the need to express emotions and concepts that Filippo Bianchini has developed over the last few years. The charm of life, its mysterious aspects, love, pains and joys. In this album Filippo Bianchini gives a musical portrait of a series of emotions using a personal language that is well rooted in the Jazz tradition. Swing, energy, improvisation. All compositions are original except for one, which is a tribute to one of the greatest musicians of all time: Duke Ellington. Supported by great musicians like Nicola Andrioli on piano, Igor Spallati on double bass, Armando Luongo on drums and Jean Paul Estievenart on the trumpet. Filippo Bianchini was born in Orvieto, Italy, but since 2007 he lived and he lives in many part of Europe (Rome, The Hague, Amsterdam, Brussels). In September 2015 he released his first album as leader ''Disorder at the Border'' with great musicians such as Nicola Andrioli on piano, Armando Luongo on drums and Jean-Louis Rassinfosse on bass (and as Special Guest, John Ruocco on tenor sax and clarinet and Rodolfo Neves on trumpet). In September 2017 he came out with his second album as leader of his 4tet ''Le Voyage'', homage to the music of Salvatore Adamo, arranged by Lorenzo Agnifili, with special Guest Jean Paul Estievenart on trumpet. He won numerous awards including the European Jimmy Woode Award 2012-Tuscia in Jazz Fest-Best for Best Saxophonist and Best Group. He got to the final at the Rotary Jazz Award 2012 and the Fara Sabina Jazz Competition 2009-2011. He played at important festivals and clubs such as North Sea Jazz Fest, The Hague Jazz, Umbria Jazz, Terni in Jazz, Duke Jazz Festival, Jazz Chili, Gray Cat Jazz Fest, Casa del Jazz in Rome, Tuscia in Jazz, Jazz Fara, Grand Tour Jazz fest , and many more… ''Filippo Bianchini's new recording is rich with hard swinging, fresh and intriguing compositions and is characterised by Bianchini's lion hearted tenor sound. - Gregory Burk -
