Perth County Conspiracy, also known as 'Perth County Conspiracy (does not exist)' was a Canadian folk music group based in Stratford, Ontario, active during the 1970s. Their music is characterised by its message-oriented lyrics and unconventional arrangements.
Cedric Smith and Richard Keelan formed Perth County Conspiracy in 1969. Signed to Columbia soon after, the band (now including bassist Michael Butler) released The Perth County Conspiracy Does Not Exist in 1970 and Perth County Conspiracy Live the following year. Break out in Berlin was released in 1976 and Ten Lost Years -- And Then Some in 1977.
