The Crookes - Lucky Ones (2016)

The Crookes experimentieren hier mit reinerem, fokussierterem Songwriting und schenken den klanglichen Aspekten und der Produktion mehr Aufmerksamkeit. George Waites angenehm süße Stimme eröffnet das Album mit ''I'll be yours all tonight, until the morning light, and then I'll be someone new,'' und obwohl immer noch melodisch, ist schon in der ersten Strophe etwas weniger Zurückhaltung bei der Band zu spüren, als dies noch beim Vorgängeralbum der Fall war. Die Crookes sind George Waite (Gesang / Bass), Daniel Hopewell (Texter / Gitarre), Tom Dakin (Gitarre) und Adam Crofts (Schlagzeug).
