The young Polish jazz scene is doing really well. The debut album of sextet Szymon Klekowicki is another proof that there is no lack of musicians in our country who want and can surprise with professionalism and freshness. Klekowicki has all the predispositions for the title of the most promising trombonist on the Polish jazz music market. This reputation has translated into cooperation with artists from around the world with Jason Moran and Jamie Cullum. It is not even about irrefutable ambition or energy, but above all the composer's imagination and courage in finding his own path.

On A Day In The Bus, seven violent and catchy compositions hit the venue - the author of five of them is Klekowicki himself, for the other two is the pianist Adam Jarzmik. The music of the band amazes with its unrivaled groove - the group throughout the entire duration of the album proves that they feel confident and comfortable in their chosen style. Apart from Klekowicki and Jarzmik, the composition of the sextet is complemented by four equally interesting emerging names of Polish jazz. Jakub Łępa (alto saxophone), Marcin Dąbrowski (tenor saxophone), Tymon Trąbczyński (double bass) and Michał Dziewiński (percussion) with admirable lightness and nonchalance show what a jazz swing is and what a team game should look like.
