Ada Morghe is a singer / songwriter of a special kind. Her songs, sung in English, mostly tell less concrete stories, but rather describe feelings, impressions, memories. Her distinctive voice, which impresses with emotional depth, but at the same time has a sublime lightness and the jazzy arrangements that embed their compositions in the best sense of sound and rhythmically varied, make an additional appeal. The song "Silver Dust" describes love in an apocalyptic world inspired by the novel "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. Another song, "Unspoken", is also on the soundtrack of the feature film "Frau Mutter Tier", which will be released in January 2019. For this purpose, Ada Morghe, aka Alexandra Helmig, wrote the screenplay and also took over one of the leading roles - alongside Julia Jentsch. The album "Pictures" was recorded in the famous London Abbey Road Studios. The musical mastermind was - beside Ada Morghe - the producer and sound engineer Hans-Martin Buff. For the recording, experienced session musicians from the London jazz scene were won, such as Livingston Brown on bass, Luca Boscagin, guitar, Josh "McKnasty" McKenzie, drums, and Luke Smith, keyboards, who also worked with Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys Has.

"On her debut album Ada Morghe sings with a lot of soul and power ... the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed evening" (Madame)

"The Norah Jones from Germany", this is the first association that pleases the listener as soon as he sinks into PICTURES. Ada Morghe sings ... with sometimes velvety, sometimes throaty, sometimes yearning organ. "(GoodTimes)

"Under the stage name Ada Morghe, the native of Munich sings gently softly of romantic feelings, in addition to softly tufted softsounds, airy and transparent." (Stereo)
