Ray Manzarek - America (Remixes) (2019)

To celebrate what would have been Ray’s 80th birthday we are releasing a set of remixes titled “America”. These are four unique mixes of the Ray Manzarek composition “America” which saw a very limited release in West Germany in 1978 (Ray Manzarek’s Nite City: “Golden Days Diamond Nights”) and has been out-of-print ever since. Remixed from the original 24-track master reels, these remixes showcase not only Ray’s keyboard talents, but also remind us of Ray’s eternally optimistic views of life. As a special treat, Doors guitarist Robby Krieger contributes a new slide guitar track to one of the mixes, reminiscent of his amazing slide guitar work on The Doors’ song “Moonlight Drive”.
