-atermus- is the debut album of the Dusseldorf composer, producer and sound designer Tom Blankenberg (from the band Subterfuge) and is released as LP & CD.
13 minimalist solo piano pieces, located in the indefinable space between classic, jazz, avant-garde, score and song, create an extraordinary neo-film noir soundtrack - with delicate, melancholy melodies that rise above dense, grinding harmonies. Like an impressionist painting, a listener described it. Or: -Reminds me of japanese minimalism- another. -atermus- not only creates moods, but Blankenberg's play tells whole stories, in a pure and unruffled tone.
