Black Diamond - Chant (2019)

Hunter Diamond is a saxophonist and creative musician living and performing in Chicago, IL. Through his compositions and improvisations, he maintains a consistent presence in the local creative music community. Recent appearances as a leader and sideman, respectively, at the Chicago Jazz Festival and Hyde Park Jazz Festival have solidified Hunter’s current status as a woodwind artist.

Hunter is currently in post production of the newest Black Diamond recording, captured live at the Whistler in Logan Square during a month long composition residency. “Chant” will be released on Shifting Paradigm records in early 2019. Also in production is the debut recording from the Diamond/Gillan duo (with drummer Lucas Gillan), due out in 2019.
