In the current landscape of young French Praised for its lyricism and for the originality of its folk-accented aesthetic, AWAKE, the emblematic group of the resurgence of the French jazz scene, returns with Aubes et Crépuscules (Dawns and Twilights). At the edge of the dream world and reality, this third album navigates its sensitive path through the unsettling glow of half-light, favorable for enchantment and dazzlement. On some of the tracks the singers Anne Sila and Bastien Picot are integrated into the light world of AWAKE, the special timbres of their voices overlapping organically with the multiple instrumental voicings, in a series of melodies that tell us stories... With an album cover signed by the photographer Paul Rousteau, a master of color and of rendering visible the invisible, AWAKE transforms jazz into a waking dream.
