USA. Inspired by the guitar playing of Jimi Hendrix and the west coast acid rock scene of the 60s, US solo artist Terry Brooks recorded three albums for Star People Records in the early 80s. With Brooks on guitar and vocals, John Kotch on keyboards, Donnie Capetta on bass and Jim Chapman on drums, his debut album, To Earth With Love, set an agenda for space-fixated lyrics akin to early Hawkwind. The musical backing on this and two subsequent albums added extended improvisational jams to pilot Brooks’ otherworldly concepts. However, after No Exist in 1984, Brooks disappeared from the music scene.
