Sonny Axell - Kick Back (2019)

The instrumental virtuosity peculiar to Jazz and the typical rhythm of Funk music go well together in this context. With his album “Kickback”, produced by the American Lyric writer M Vaughn Duck, he signs 9 original compositions, tall printed with a very “Soul” and made of luxurious arrangements.

The band of this album gather some of the best regional musiciens (Tony SGRO at the Bass and Stéphane BRUNELLO at the Guitar), the excellent Chicagoan Drumer Turlo Damonte Murray, met by Sonny when they both accompanied the Bluesman Sugar Blue and a section of Brass instruments full of vitality completes the group.
