Pianist, composer and teacher, who started in music at 8 years of age by vocation and inspired by his father who is also a musician. Although with a solid base in the classical repertoire for piano, his interest in jazz and improvised music has led him to start a new career path, participating in academic components in international festivals such as the VIII Panama Jazz Festival, the IX Cartagena International Music Festival as an International guest at the recent 2018 Sumaq Festival in Lima (Peru) and receiving master-class from pianists such as Jean Michel Pilc, Danilo Pérez and Enrico Pieranunzi.
In 2012, Oscaryvan decided to form his own trio with bassist Kike Harker and drummer Juan Camilo Anzola, with whom he finds affinity in musical tastes and influences. Since then they are heading in a sound adventure that goes from classical music, through airs of Colombian and Latin American folklore to pop rock, all sheltered by jazz, bebop and contemporary jazz, always trying to present a proposal that moves away from the conventional in this type of formats.
