In 1978, Granmax decided to adopt a separate frontman, Nick Christopher, and in this line-up they come to the studio to record a new work, Kiss Heaven Goodbye. This album, with more high-speed riffs, acoustic passages and good songs, is considered the best in the short career of the group. He was praised by critics and listeners. With this work, they go on a big tour and take part in a big show on the same stage with such giants of that time as “Rush”, “Kansas”, Ted Nugent. After the tour was over, it was planned to record the third album, but due to disagreements that arose during the recording, it was never completed. After that, the group ceased operations. Guitarist Steve Myers worked for a long time as a session musician, and in 2005 he appeared in the Canadian metal band "Among The Betrayed".
