A remake of the 1960s song "Dancing in the Street" by Marvin Gaye ??? Mick Jagger is and David Bowie was two of the greats in rock music, but this is surely a low-point in their long careers !

@Executive : yes, this is a song written by Marvin Gaye where the most famous version is the one from Martha and the Vandellas... but to say that this song is Jagger-Bowie 's low-point of their careers is very stupid...because it was specially sung in the Live Aid show in 1985....

@Executive: You really did not know this song? It was a bigger hit than the original by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and went to #1 in the UK.

@tommy554: When you say that this song can't be the low-point of Bowie's and Jagger's career just because it was recorded for Live Aid, that's also stupid. There are a lot of stupid benefit and charity recordings. A good cause does not make a bad song better.

When this version of "Dancing in the Street" came out in 1985, I really liked it, but now I can't hear it any more. It's not *the* low-point of their career, but definitively not a highlight for both of them. Jagger's low-points were most of his solo records (except 'Wandering Spirit' which is fantastic), Bowie's low-point was 'Never Let Me Down'.
