The (St. Thomas) Pepper Smelter was a Peruvian rock band linked to psychedelic rock and garage rock formed in 1969 by members who have just left the group Los Shain's, headed by Gerardo Manuel and then joined by Freddy Macedo in the organ . They recorded several 45s and an LP with excellent versions and also with their own songs. The group made covers of: The Beatles, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Iron Butterfly, Cream, Blind Joe Reynolds and Classics IV. Equal considering a cult group, and only counting with only one studio album.
