Not only did Peter Materna use the sounds of his saxophone to fill the church space of the "Collegium Leoninum" in Bonn, but he also had one of the largest and most prestigious concert grand pianos placed and micophoned there as a resonator. Through his depressed right pedal, each tone, each of the sound structures of Materna resonates the strings of the grand piano, forming a co-resonance. So not only the playing of the music, but also the interception and mixing of the recordings became an adventurous sound journey.

Peter Materna uses a trick recording this recent production: he did not just fill the church with the sound of his saxophone, so he had one of the world's best concert pianos placed there and provided with it as a soundbox. The right pedal pressed the strings of the piano reverberated with every note, every sound structure of Materna building a co-mel. This has not been the adventurous trip but listening to and mixing the recording.
