Quantum Trio is an unconventional band whose foundations lie in improvised music. Their sound – inspired by classical music, jazz, avant-garde and popular music – has crystallized from the mixture of saxophone, drums and piano. The pieces have a cinematic atmosphere, there is a sense of trance known from deep meditation. The sound scale is diverse, it is a braid of intensely emotional ballads, jazz punk as well as enthusiastic pieces about chocolate. This music could not have been created, though, were it not for the quantum indeterminacy of interactions between the three musicians who found themselves in the right place at the right time.
