We sail between ballads (Morning Phase, Long Journey, Desolate) and more bluesy rhythms (My Old Country). Sometimes the guitar combines with the soprano (Big Sur), sometimes the cello (Arizona Trip) or the bass (Sunny Spell). Sometimes she splits between acoustic and electric guitar (Nacimiento Road). In the intro of Long Journey, she takes on country / folk looks; in Big Sur, she marries the crystalline sound of a xylophone. The sound colors melt like in a rainbow, nothing detonates, everything harmonizes with the service of melodic lyricism. (Claude Loxhay)
